Jitai Electronics breaks ground on 20,000 square meter facility in Yixing City. In December, Jitai began construction of a brand new facility that will nearly quadruple its current production capacity. Projected annual output of ceramic and metal hermetic packages for microelectronics will surpass 10-million units once completed. The new state-of-the-art complex is situated on 1.7 hectares of land in the Jiangsu Yixing Ceramics Industrial Park just south of the city centre. The first phase of construction will focus on two workshops (sintering/welding/brazing and plating), each of which will have three levels with more than 1800 square
meters of floor space for a total of 11,000 square meters. Construction is expected to last 1.5 years, wrapping up in June 2023.

The second phase of the project will construct a research facility, office buildings, a warehouse, and sewage treatment stations. In a bid to dramatically increase output capacity, Jitai has invested funds in excess of 120-million RMB. This includes the purchase of more than 200 pieces of advanced equipment for production and analysis. Once construction is completed in 2023, the company predicts output value to hit to 500-million RMB. This will enable Jitai to shorten lead times and take on a much larger number of projects, both in terms of scale and complexity. Expansion on this size will also require a larger workforce, a task the company has already commenced. The company’s location in Yixing has proved beneficial over the years because of the region’s high level of development and the fact that it is so close to the tech centres and learning institutions in the nearby metropolises of Shanghai, Nanjing, and Hangzhou. With the completion of this new top-of-line facility, Jitai will be able to augment its current team by drawing on the immense tech talent indigenous to the Pearl River Economic Delta Zone.
